On a visit to Australia some years ago, Jonathon Wickham was impressed with the concept of Australian shade sails and immediately knew that he wanted to return to Portugal and introduce this particular shade technology.
This he did and in 2001 together with his wife started what was believed to be the original shade sail design and manufacturing business in Europe. Jonathon's dream had started. He and his team worked tirelessly over the years, overcoming many obstacles and difficulties. His passion, flair in design, creative development of the technology and service soon earned him an enviable reputation.
He loved it all, his dreams and vision were coming true and flourishing. This all came to an end on 20th October 2012 when Jonathon tragically died in a sky diving accident.
With the support of Jonathon's parents and some of the members of his dedicated team we have started a new business SUNNY SHADE SAILS - Sistemas de Sombra in Jonathon's memory.
Together we have become well qualified in the innovative architectural design, manufacture and installation of versatile and visually stunning shade systems - sails, pergolas, for all shade solutions for commercial establishments, school playgrounds and the home.
We value our clients and customer satisfaction is of paramount importance. We use only the best materials and guarantee our installations and components. For our shade sail system we provide our clients with a 2 year guarantee extendable to 10 years with a maintenance contract.
